Hmm, just dump the 'entry_points.txt' file in the named distribution's
EGG-INFO directory? E.g.:
$ cat bin/pip
#!/path/to/virtualenv/bin/pythonX.Y
# EASY-INSTALL-ENTRY-SCRIPT: 'pip==1.3.1','console_scripts','pip'
__requires__ = 'pip==1.3.1'
import sys
from pkg_resources import load_entry_point
if __name__ == '__main__':
sys.exit(
load_entry_point('pip==1.3.1', 'console_scripts', 'pip')()
)
$ cat
lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages/pip-1.3.1-pyX.Y.egg/EGG-INFO/entry_points.txt
[console_scripts]
pip = pip:main
pip-X.Y = pip:main
Tres.
