Mikhail, this thread is getting quite long, and difficult to follow. It's quite clear that a new operator won't be introduced for list insertion.
Furthermore, this thread has now become a hard-to-follow and impossible-to-participate-in debate. If you have other ideas, could you maybe formulate them unambiguously and post them in a new thread?
