i don't know if it was poedit or not because i didn't find any difference in
the .po file
afterwards, the application did manage to compile the messages without errors :)
yet strangely i do not see the translation in site, even when i specify
specifically in my
view the following code:
"from django.utils.translation import activate"
activate("he");
i still get the non translated string
any ideas?

.po files are very sensitive. I found it's best to use poedit -
http://www.poedit.net/ - to edit these files.
