If you like `C-x C-f /sudo::...', then it may also please you to know that Tramp supports other remote access methods too, i.e.: C-x C-f /ftp: C-x C-f /ssh: and it lets Emacs edit files in remote locations, as long as you have a valid set of username/password credentials for the remote host :-) -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
