I just posted on another mailing list about how posting the same message, over and over, is fundamentally offensive; it implies the belief, from whatever the source, that the poster needs to "show you the light" and if they just keep pounding on it, they'll eventually blast through your ignorance. People who internalize this will not look loud in a debate, so it is important to not just look at volume.
