Ok, lets make a better example:

>>> re_list['foo'] = r'\..*'
>>> re_list['bar'] = r'.*bar.*'
>>> print re_list
{'foo': '\\..*', 'bar': '.*bar.*'}
I would like to see a:
{'foo': r'\..*', 'bar': '.*bar.*'}
