Hello John, If you just want a repository for one project and you don't want to admin the whole server [which is a job in itself], you can use Sourceforge's CVS server. They'll also let you host the project on their servers. If you want to setup your own SCM, you can try Subversion, GNU Arch, or if you are interested in distributed SCMs, you can try Monotone http://www.venge.net/monotone/ IMO, you'll be better off using Sourceforge's CVS server.
