Here's a few of theories: 1) This isn't a strong enough community to warrant a group of people who moderate the list and make sure spam doesn't come through 2) Thousands of python hackers aren't smart enough to figure out how to stop spam 3) Whenever people post threads asking why this list is getting spammed they get heckled 4) Uber leet old skool script kiddies read the list through some mechanism that allows them to get rid of the spam, unlike the other 99% of us.
