If you follow links at the archive page you'll find that there is no source code. The same applies if you try https://www.openhub.net/p/pydlna-server. Gilmeh Serda has all ready suggested that "it might be easier using/tweaking something that actually exists" and I must agree, so the best of luck :) Kindest regards.
