Dear all, We are pleased to announce our upcoming online course: Genomic Data Visualisation with Python
Dates: 22–24 June Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/genomic-data-viz-python/ ]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/genomic-data-viz-python/ ) Modern genomics generates complex, high-dimensional datasets, making clear and effective visualization essential. This intensive 3-day course offers a hands-on introduction to creating publication-quality figures using Python, while building a personal toolkit of reusable scripts for genomic data analysis. Participants will explore a broad range of visualization approaches, including differential expression plots (e.g. volcano and Manhattan plots), dimensionality reduction (PCA, t-SNE, UMAP), heatmaps and pathway visualizations, as well as more advanced representations such as phylogenetic trees, multiple sequence alignments, circos plots, synteny, and genome tracks. The course combines widely used libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly with specialised genomics tools (e.g. pyCirclize, Toytree, pyGenomeTracks, DashBio), with a strong emphasis on practical application.
