Explicit:
a = [3, 5, 8, 0]
b = {}
for key in a:
b[key] = []
Quicker:
a = [3, 5, 8, 0]
b = dict( [(k, []) for k in a] )
What behaviour do you expect when there are repeated values in the
list 'a'?
