https://bugs.launchpad.net/python-mode/+bug/1239498 it turns out relying on py-split-... resp. py-switch-... vars setting isn't sufficient. Will introduce the var in subject. Remaining question: What to do if an error occurs? Display error resp. exception buffer anyway ignoring this new var?
