according to http://sandrotosi.me/debian/py2removal/python-sphinx_1.svg there's only one rdep left (and they've been warned already, #953949) so maybe we can start by dropping python-sphinx in unstable still maintaining 1.8.5 while we work towards uploading 2.4.3?
