Package: python-cherrypy3
Version: 3.5.0-2build1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I try to use salt-api with cherrypi and ssl encryption.
But the Debian version of cherrypy3 contains some bugs
https://github.com/saltstack/salt/issues/37783
A installation with pip works fine and I also saw that the upstream version is
already at 10.x

It would be very nice to update the package.

Best Gerald Hansen

Closing this bug, as information on the upstream bug report states this
issue was fixed after updating cherrypy to 8.1.2 [1], the current
Debian package is newer than that, and no information was received to
indicate this is an ongoing concern.

Feel free to reopen if the bug still reproduces with the current
version of the cherrypy package (8.9.1-8) or newer (esp. 18.6.0).
