Sorry for not commenting about the bump of severity. I made this bug grave because in current state of affairs, mod_wsgi is unusable in sid. I did verify it with 2.8-1 and can reproduce the bug at will. Note that I could not reproduce the problem with 3.1-1/experimental. Jakub, you just marked this bug as found/3.1-1 yesterday.
