Note, the file you're looking at (path25.py) is only meant for use on python-2.5+. paver keeps all but the 2.5 specific code (implementation of a context manager for user convenience) in path.py. Paver continues to work without that one specific enhancement.
I'm not sure how that fits into what python-support does; I was just looking for information on whether paver is py2.3 compatible and happened onto this bug report. -Toshio
