Hello, We have a theory that this is due to LC_CTYPE and LC_ALL environment being set to legacy values.
Are you able to tell me what the environment variables LC_CTYPE and LC_ALL are set to during the failed boot? If this is the case I can fix the problem by unsetting these before calling mkdocs.
