Hi guys,
Does anyone know what is the best way to install python 2.6 on Debian?

I recently used a horrible hack to do that
(http://blog.pythonaro.com/2008/10/horrible-hack-to-get-python-26-on.html
), which apparently was syndicated around a bit. I moved to Kubuntu
since then, and I was wondering if there's a better way of doing it --
especially for the last step, which is making the system aware that
there's more than one python version installed.

Any suggestions?

cheers
Giacomo
