Hi all, NOTE: This meeting is at Federation House:
http://madlab.org.uk/content/details-of-our-temporary-location-during-the-refurb/ The Lambda Lounge is about giving time to big ideas that change the way we think and represent computation. However strongly related to thoughts of computation are thoughts on data representation, and that's why this month we're pleased to be talking about Linked Data. Our talk at tomorrows Lambda Lounge is by Ric Roberts on building a global knowledge base with Linked Data. It'll be a technical look at building Linked Data along with details of using graph databases, RDF and the query language SPARQL. Additionally Ric's company Swirrl, are being kind enough to sponsor drinks afterwards! There might even be some discussion about how Swirrl are using functional languages to process large amounts of data. It should be a great talk.
