I am not sure about that; I think users would not see those messages anymore and hence forget them. My opinion is that we should have a less than 20 line help message (something like I proposed in a ticket http://www.logilab.org/ticket/9787 ) with a one letter option for disable / enable convention and the like for refactor. The suggested one letter options would immediately be visible in the help message, and user would quite fast use them without forgetting refactor or convention issues. The really important thing for me is a synthetic help message with one letter options for important things.
