[python-tulip] Tulip/Asyncio for 2.7

Is there Tulip/Asyncio for Python 2.7?  I am looking for a solution to 
doing non-blocking io work in AWS lambda and need a 2.7 compatible library. 
 I have been researching but haven't found any direct or "official" answers 
on the project page.  Anyone familiar with this?
