Hi all, I've been invited to give an "Introduction to Python" talk and coding dojo at this month's GeekUp Nottingham. It's being held on Monday November 7th from 18:30 - 21:00 at Cape Bar in Nottingham city centre. I'll be giving a presentation for about 20-30 minutes on the history and usages of Python, then showing code for the key syntactical differences between Python and other languages. The group will then form into pairs and work their way through the Python Koans for the remainder of the session.
