Hello, This month we are back to continue our Pyramid London Meetup. We have got some fresh talks about Pyramid and experiences of building application with it.
http://www.meetup.com/The-London-Pyramid-Group/events/147128882/ I’m glad to announce that we will have Riley Doyle, Jon Staley and Pete Graham who will be sharing their experiences with Pyramid via a presentation. The talks should be accessible for a newcomers level and If the you never used Pyramid come join us to discover more about it. This event is hosted by skillsmatter. Registration for this event will be necessary. http://skillsmatter.com/event-details/home/london-pyramid-ug-does-king-forms-and-from-script-to-web *Talks:* *'king forms* by Jon Staley Summary: A quick intro to deform & colander and how we wrangled them to do what we wanted. ----- *Script to Web: lessons learned adapting technical/domain-specific code to the web* by Riley Doyle Summary: Python is an increasingly popular language for "domain experts" in technical fields such as bioinformatics and finance, yet most end users will not accept a script or command line application as a final deliverable. Pyramid's lack of "strong opinions" about which database or ORM to use can be frustrating for developers new to the web, but ultimately this flexibility is a key long-term advantage for large, complex domain-specific data sets. This talk will cover key lessons learned in building an advanced "DNA Search Engine" with Pyramid. ---- *First impressions with Pyramid* by Pete Graham After building some applications for client based on Pyramid, Pete will be sharing his first impressions of pyramids and how it compares to other frameworks ---- *Pub after 8pm:* The Slaughtered Lamb http://www.theslaughteredlambpub.com/ -- Rach Belaid @rachbelaid
