Hi gang, I've been roped in by work to help out with a hackathon we're
hosting. Details here:

https://techzero.io/resources/events

Tech Zero is a sort of uk tech businesses' net zero pledge drive / support
org, although there's a bunch of ancillary orgs involved too (eg the kings
trust is involved in trying to get young people recruited into greentech).
The hackathon is part of a relaunch event for it.

the scope of the hackathon is fairly open, any ideas as long as they relate
to sustainability and/or net zero, but past things we've run involved a lot
of open api data integrations, idk like there was one thing where someone
had a robot button to turn your washing machine on and off based on hourly
electricity prices lol.

It's really soon, two days 1st and 2nd of July, check the link above or hit
me up for more info. I'll definitely be there so it'd be a lovely time to
catch up with any of the old python-uk gang!

all the best,
Harry P.

PS i just read apparently the top prize is a 20K grant to fund the winning
idea? mad. i mean idk i haven't been to any public hackathons, is that a
lot?
