Hello Jens, again thanks for your help and code examples. I think I can develop a full windows conform application with your code, Mark's book and the pipeTestService example - hope so :-).
But there is one point: pythonservice.exe has to be registered once per computer and the register process fails if python is not installed on that machine. I have to install this service on a users computer without python. Normally I run Gordon McMillans Installer and ship the exe-file to the users computer.
