Are there any known problems with the pywin32 installer when building against Python 2.6? I am using the 32-bit build of Python 2.6.13936 installed using the pre-built daily snapshot installer. Everything compiles fine, and running 'setup.py bdist_wininst' executes without errors. However, when I run the installer, it crashes when trying to compile files to .pyc. Running 'setup.py install' works just fine, and I can certainly work with an installation made in that way. It would help the other people in my group if we had a single installer, though. I can dig into this some more with debug builds of Python and pywin32 if it would help.
