As per Supported Release https://www.freebsd.org/releases/
11.4 is not a supported release and ports are not tested on these releases.
It's advisable to upgrade to a Supported release preferably 13.0 or at least
12.3. But in your case(as you are stuck due to a bug related to hardware) you
might go back to the last quarterly which was supported in 11.4.
