It is definatley an interesting post. Would be good to find out where he has
progressed too since that post.

After doing more research I am still not sure that SVN or git or any current
open source version control system is really ideal for use on large 3D
projects with large files. Solutions like GlobalStorage are certainly alot
of steps in the right direction but with content that you are storing in SVN
it still inherits alot of its problems and probably creates a few new ones
in its notions of Assets and Dependencies.

Im really starting to think the best solution would be a system built from
the ground up for handling version control, asset management and production
management in way that suits some of the unique needs of out industry.
