Hi guys. I've had a number of people ask me about this. We have gotten
pyqt working in maya 2009 (in the sense that it does not crash when
importing) but it required us to recompile and replace maya's python
before compiling qt and pyqt. I'll send along my instructions on how
to get this working when I get home. I'll also post our compiles as
well in case it's possible to just copy them into the right places.

All that said, keep in mind that maya on osx has some serious
threading issues that makes pyqt nearly useless even with pumpthread,
but maybe you'll have better luck than us.
