I actually havn't looked into it too much further. I kind of stopped  
after the 32/64bit issues.   I think the plugin needs to be updated  
for 64bit java (I could be wrong).

I still use eclipse, just not integrated into Maya. I have a menu  
within Maya that lists all the scripts on the MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH and  
PYTHONPATH. I save my script in eclipse and run it through the menu...

I'd message the guy who wrote the plugin through highend.  He replied  
fairly quickly, have a try with him, sorry I can't give you a better  
answer.
