hey everyone, im trying to get up and running with pymel. ive read through the install docs, and im stuck on getting ipython working. I run the 'easy install' for pymel, set my maya.env, set my environmental variables, and manually install ipython-0.10.win32 and win32 and pyreadline-1.5-win32. in the last step, i run ipymel.bat. it crashes with the following error: ImportError: No module named _ctypes.
im running python 3.1.1, from win32, in vista x64 with maya 2009 x64. i tried running the x64 python, but ipython and pyreadline wouldnt install because it couldnt find a python install in the registry. from what i've read, ctypes arent available in x64. if i indeed have to run the x64 python, how can i make ipython recognize it? sorry if any of this is completely basic, im just starting to teach myself python. thanks!! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ http://groups.google.com/group/python_inside_maya -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
