You can work around the bug with api:
import maya.cmds as mc
def mnBox(*args):
mc.confirmDialog( title='Confirm', message='Are you sure?',
button=['Yes','No'], defaultButton='Yes',
cancelButton='No',dismissString='No' )
import maya.OpenMaya as om
om.MEventMessage.addEventCallback("quitApplication", mnBox)
