Well, just generally speaking, I have noticed there to be a significant,
albeit unpredictable, lag in the Win7 file browser. This is completely
unrelated to Qt and is, for better or worse, unpredictable and sporadic. We
do a lot of exporting from Maya, for example, and although I know a file
has been updated, Windows will sometimes not update the browser, even upon
manual refresh. I will generally open another browser window to be sure.

This is more of a confirmation response, that this problem does happen,
than it is a real solution. Though your post is vague enough that I'm not
sure it's even a relevant. At any rate, "Yes".
