Wow I have been out of the compositing game for a while. I had no idea Eyeon was bought out and they made a free variant of Fusion! I learned to comp back on Fusion 3.xwand used it through Fusion 5. Always liked it better than Nuke as well. The downside for them was that it was Windows only (with some special Wine version for Linux). If they had gotten it to be cross platform I think it would have had more of a chance to to be picked up in place of Nuke.
I also remember that they were crazy and added their first Python support with Python 3000, hah. Is it still only Windows, and using Python 3.x now?
