Hello everybody,

thank you all for your kind words!
We will release this for free, early next year :)

We started this as spare time project to make ourselves more acquaint
<http://www.dict.cc/englisch-deutsch/acquaint.html> with Python, Qt and the
Maya API and to make our day-to-day workflow easier.
It's part of our custom python package that includes more tools and
functionality and because we have some more ideas we like to enhance first,
there is no plan (at the moment)
to support Mental Ray or VRay.
But Marcus is nearly right with that (we are just taking a modified clone
of the renderView panel and putting this in our widget), so I guess the
effort wouldn't be that
high to support other renderers in the future.

cheers
Rico
