Hello Justin Israel, I'm watching your video series "PyQt4 in PyQt4 UI Development for Maya Tutorial " but instead I'm using PySide.
So I made some changes in your files to make it work as shown below : http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/10833467/ In Chapter 06 you are showing your channelBox.py And when I'm showing the window it works fine, but when I select an object, I only see the object's name (top left) and under it I only see 'Visibility'. I don't see 'Translate X', 'Translate Y' and the others attribute.
