There are some changes going on over there and the option became available for me to do something different with the videos. I figured they have been for sale long enough and are 5+ years old. So I thought if I just made them free, they would get in front of more people and help to kick-start their coding adventure. Maybe some people might have been reluctant to shell out $30-50 per training video. Also, funny story: Shortly after I had first released these videos, I was contacted by someone asking for support on the information in one of the videos. If I remember correctly, he was from Iran. Before helping him, I thanked him for purchasing the videos. He said he didn't purchase them from cmivfx. He bought a DVD for a couple bucks from someone in a market in Iran. Apparently they had pirated my tutorials right away onto some VFX-specific torrent site and it ended up on a bootleg DVD in an Iranian market. So...
