Thanks for the info; it looks like a very interesting thing, something 
really needed for many programmers. Unfortunately, using ppygui would 
mean using my app only on Windows Mobile on my smartphone, while not 
only I find very useful to test it on my Linux laptop, but I dream of 
installing Linux even on my smartphone sooner or later.

I may choose, as long as I develop it, to gain enough abstraction from 
the UI to enable the possibility to switch gui from system to system; in 
this case, I think I will look at your ppygui (and Gtk under Linux). But 
this is still not the case...
