There are a couple of folks looking at this:

1. An attempt to get this into the python core:
http://bugs.python.org/issue1092962
2. A bunch of generator tools which include a pickle extension to
pickle 'em: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/generator_tools
3. Stackless I think lets you pickle tasklets and generators.
