Hi all,

Alan said at the last meeting that the gang-of-four at PyCon had
discussed holding events outside of Dublin.

I'd like to make a suggestion about that. Why not piggyback on other
events, like BarCamps? Run the Python talks during the BarCamp--maybe
devote a track to Python (or share one with with Ruby, say).

For example, Belfast next weekend: http://www.barcampbelfast.com

A standalone event is likely to see a big fall-off in numbers. Whereas
more people will travel from the Dublin area to a BarCamp--and some
attendees who would be there anyway may take an interest in the Python
talks.

Off-topic aside: kudos to Alan, for the work on modjy on App Engine!

Ciao,
