Advanced text editors like Emacs and VIM can be another option. Strictly speaking, they are not IDEs, but can accomplish your code editing tasks just as well. I am using MacVIM for most tasks. There must be plugins that help you write code in Python, though I am not currently using any. If you decide to explore these tools, [1] may contain some useful information.
