Hi folks, I've put together a draft paper for Open Source policies in Ireland, which I intend to submit to the Innovation Taskforce as requested by the Department of Taoiseach at the following link http://www.taoiseach.gov.ie/eng/Innovation_Taskforce/Request_for_Submissions/
The paper is entitled "Open Source and Open Standards at Home - Positioning Ireland as an International Innovation Hub" and is available at http://www.weuseopensource.com/open-letter-to-irish-govt-on-open-source-driven-innovation.html. I would appreciate any feedback on the paper - typos, content, format or anything that I've put that is just plain wrong or that you disagree with. You can email me directly or post a comment at www.theirishpenguin.com/2009/09/18/open-letter-to-the-irish-government-on-open-source-driven-innovation I've signed off the paper as representing my own views. If individuals or a particular group want to add their support to the paper then let me know and I'll add you as an undersignee. Apologies on the late notice for this one. The submission deadline is close of business today. But I still wanted to bring the community in on this one and be involved in the process; so hopefully it will give some of you time to comment.
