Hi all, I know this clashes with the Unconference - apologies. I guess it's a good sign that there are lots of things going on in Dublin right now.
I hope this is not too off-topic - I'm assuming at least some of you guys are interested in web/mobile startups. The second Dublin Startup Weekend will be held over the weekend of Oct 1-3 in the NDRC. The weekend will offer an opportunity for people to build commercially driven web and/or mobile apps and to assess their commercial potential with a view to understanding if they have a credible business case. The weekend will bring together a mix of folks with computer skills, business skills and graphics skills to form teams to build working functionality to demonstrate the proposed concepts and develop a business case. The weekend is a great opportunity to meet people who are interested in the startup space in Dublin, to develop ideas with these people and to have a bit of fun. There are costs associated with participation which largely pay for food over the weekend. Tickets are priced at Eur75 for a standard ticket or Eur40 for a discounted ticket. More information can be found here: http://dublin.startupweekend.org/ Hope you can make it.
