Panda3D is a nice one, I found it quite hard to set up though, hopefully you'll find it easier. If it absolutely *must* be 3D, go with that. If "pseudo-3D" would do (2d image sprites that get bigger / small with height to give 3D illusion) I'd strongly reccomend that! Much easier to code, PyGame is a very nice, basic, easy, and well documented library.
