Hello Pythonians!

Google Developer Group Dublin is hosting DevFest on the 2nd and 3rd of
November and we'd love you to join us.
https://plus.google.com/events/cviu696niqp9fp07uj13kmeof8k
DevFest will have a morning of talks on a range of web technology followed
by an afternoon of Code Labs where you can get to grips with the topics.
For example, we will have the following on Google App Engine:

Talk: "Scaling with App Engine"
The main advantage of App Engine is that it scales with usage. All you do
is write your code and App Engine will scale. There are however a few bits
and pieces you can use to scale and keep your costs under control. This talk
will focus on these bits and pieces and take a close look at routing,
modules and task queues.

Code Lab: "Crunching large data sets with MapReduce on AppEngine"
MapReduce allows you to work efficiently through large sets of data. By
large I do not mean 10s or 100s of MB but Gigabytes or even Terrabytes. App
Engine has a MapReduce API that provides you with the power of Google's
MapReduce as well as additional controls to keep your spending in check.
This code lab will teach you how to use the API to crunch your own data.

We will follow-up this Saturday of talks and code labs with a Sunday
hackathon.

Also, GDG Dublin is *always* looking for interesting speakers, so if you
have a product, concept or discussion you can present, please give us a
shout!

Thanks!
Rory Glynn,
GDG Dublin
