Greetings!
I recently installed cvs2svn (a version of subversion) on my Mac OS X 10.3.6.
I've also installed Sleepycat Berkeley DB 4.3.21.
When I attempt to run $"cvs2svn" at the prompt, I receive this error message:
ERROR: your installation of Python does not contain a suitable DBM module. This script cannot
continue.
to solve: see http://python.org/doc/current/lib/module-anydbm.html for details.
That is indeed a rather stupid error message: what it tries to say is that the only Python dbm modules that are available are not good enough for cvs2svn.
So you need to install one that is good enough (such as Sleepycat Berkeley DB), but you also need to install the corresponding Python module.
Does anyone happen to know about an easy to install DB + Python module? Bob, anything in your PackMan database, maybe?
The one in my PackMan database may be too old.. building bsddb3 from source is probably a good idea.
