Even more reason to have them installed behind the scenes.
Where should they be installed, then? I think the appscript folder in /Library/Python/2.3 is the best place for them.
What I meant by "behind the scenes" was that they should be installed by the installer, not drag+drop installed by the user. If you put these applications in the user's face they *will* click on them, and be disappointed/confused when they don't do anything (because appscript isn't installed *and* because they have no UI).
Their installation destination depends on what kind of interaction the user will have with them, if any. If appscript will start them on its own, then the same location as the Python package makes some sense, but I would put them in a directory that is clearly not a subpackage (i.e. a directory with-a-hyphen-in-it).
