As long as it doesn't hurt. And maybe a simple explanation on what PantherPythonFix does and why it's needed. Might help people decide (hopefully, not confuse them -- I'd like to know more).

It's a bugfix to distutils, so that when you compile stuff it has a higher probability of doing the right thing.

That doesn't actually answer the question. What is the random operation in distutils whose operation can have its probability changed?
