This might be my misunderstanding; if so, I'm sorry. I thought that py2app was intended (among many other things) to make Python/Tkinter apps that could work on OS X systems where neither Python nor Tcl/Tk/Tkinter were installed. If that's not the case, I'll take a different approach.
