Appscript Installer 1.1 is now available. Appscript is a high-level, user-friendly MacPython to Apple event bridge that allows you to control scriptable Mac OS X applications using ordinary Python scripts. Appscript makes MacPython a serious alternative to Apple's own AppleScript language for automating your Mac. This version is identical to Appscript Installer 1.1rc4, so you don't need to reinstall if you have that version. It should work to update any previous version of the installer, including the alpha and beta installers, but please mail me if you have problems (posting to your weblog is fine, but less likely to get problems fixed). This version is fully compatible with the Apple-shipped Python 2.3 installations in 10.3 and 10.4 and includes the latest stable versions of appscript and friends. More detailed release notes are available in the disk image download.
